Staar Surgical Posts Downbeat Q4 Results, Joins Webtoon Entertainment, Gitlab And Other Big Stocks Moving Lower In Wednesday's Pre-Market Session

U.S. stock futures were higher this morning, with the Dow futures gaining around 0.1% on Wednesday.

Shares of STAAR Surgical Co (NASDAQ:STAA) fell sharply in pre-market trading after the company reported worse-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.

Staar Surgical reported quarterly losses of 13 cents per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of earnings of 6 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $57.801 million which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $75.370 million.

STAAR Surgical shares dipped 10.2% to $16.99 in pre-market trading.

  • Braiin Ltd (NASDAQ:BRAI) dropped 11.6% to $25.01 in pre-market trading after jumping over 72% on Tuesday.
  • Arbutus Biopharma Corp (NASDAQ:ABUS) fell 11.5% to $4.15 in pre-market trading. Genevant Sciences and Arbutus Biopharma announced a $2.25 billion global settlement with Moderna.
  • Battalion Oil Corp (NYSE:BATL) declined 11.5% to $24.45 in pre-market trading after jumping around 135% on Tuesday.
  • Gitlab Inc (NASDAQ:GTLB) declined 7.5% to $24.71 in pre-market trading following fourth-quarter earnings.
  • Korea Electric Power Corp (NYSE:KEP) fell 6.3% to $16.60 in pre-market trading.
  • KB Financial Group Inc (NYSE:KB) fell 4.8% to $100.75 in pre-market trading.
